Free RPG2SQL Integrator–ROA handler provides simplified data access, company says.
RJS Software Systems has released a free extension to its popular RPG2SQL Integrator product. With this added feature, customers are now able to read data in remote database systems using familiar RPG operations. This Rational Open Access: RPG Edition handler conceals the complexity of using RPG2SQL Integrator as the engine for working with these database systems.
IBM’s Rational Open Access: RPG Edition, announced in April, “provides a way for RPG programmers to use the simple and well-understood RPG I/O model to access resources and devices that are not directly supported by RPG.” RJS has now paired this technology with RPG2SQL Integrator to let customers save time and money by simplifying the use of RPG2SQL Integrator to read data from tables in database systems such as SQL Server and MySQL.
“Upon first hearing about Rational Open Access: RPG Edition, I felt that it would be a natural fit with one of our core products,” says RJS Software Architect Vernon Hamberg. “We pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve by offering our customers data integration software that utilizes cutting edge technology to make them more productive at less cost.”
RPG2SQL Integrator synchronizes databases and combines IBM i and remote data in ways that best serve your business. The program shares data in real?time across platforms, making it easy to generate reports, analyze data, and use information more effectively.
