With a degree in Business Administration from Truett McConnell University and additional technical college coursework under his belt, Blake discovered IBM i though his help desk role at his sponsoring employer, Dixie Group. He looks forward to learning about RPG and directing his career towards application development. The Dixie Group is a preeminent provider of premium flooring to the residential market. They emphasize superior product design for discerning consumers in the mid- to upper-end market segments.

Daniel and Blake will receive free IBM i and RPG training from imPower Technologies, along with a one-year COMMON membership and attendance at NAViGATE this fall and POWERUp next spring.

“I’m so pleased to welcome Daniel and Blake to our fellowship program,” says Justin Loeber of Kisco Systems. “They are both motivated, curious and hard-working young people with the commitment and backing from management that they need to build successful careers.”

Kisco is also announcing an expansion to the Fellowship program. There will now be three fellows selected every year and they will be selected together at the beginning of each year. Loeber says, “We want to launch as many careers as possible and we also want to focus on community. We think shifting the program to a cohort style of learning will provide a more meaningful experience for our fellows.” The original Fellowship program was designed to grant one award every six months.

The Richard C. Loeber Fellowship from Kisco Systems is a program that partners with IBM i customers to develop high potential employees who are smart, curious and highly motivated but do not yet have all the experience or skills to build a career on the IBM i platform. RCL Fellows receive free IBM i training, a COMMON membership, free conference registrations and recognition throughout the IBM i community. The next cohort of three fellows will be named in January, 2025. Candidates are encouraged to apply at any time.
