It provides the infrastructure to minimize custom programming and provide a robust, scalable solution, the company says.
Innovatum, a premier provider of enterprise compliance software and services for the IBM i platform, today announced the release of its iROBAR module for label printing with the IBM i platform. Built upon the success of its ROBAR Enterprise Label Management System and three decades of AS/400 and iSeries solution development, Innovatum now has the answer for IBM i labeling in the twenty first century, the company says. The iROBAR system natively supports RFID, 2D barcodes, GS1 compliance, ePedigree, and track and trace, among others.
"The inspiration for iROBAR derived from recent customer projects in which we encountered many of the same label design and printing limitations I have seen and heard about since first designing AS/400 labels more than 20 years ago," said Ardi Batmanghelidj, president of Innovatum. "We have been spoiled by the amazing capabilities of BarTender, the design and print engine for ROBAR, and I am delighted to bring it to the IBM i environment."
While BarTender is in use at many IBM i shops, the iROBAR system provides a seamless link between the worlds of Windows and IBM i. It provides the necessary infrastructure and controls to minimize custom programming and provide for an infinitely scalable and robust solution. Using simplified API replacements, a number of new iROBAR customers have rapidly upgraded from IBM i legacy labeling solutions and are already enjoying the benefits.
