The AS/400 tracks the errors on the system in file QASXPROB. There may be data in this file from old problems that have long been resolved, therefore there is no need to occupy space with the old data. Here are the steps necessary to free up the space:
1. Delete all problems that are older than 30 days.
DLTPRB status**all) days(30)
2. Reorganize the file to remove the deleted records.
RGZPFM QASXPROB
You can use the display object description command (DSPOBJD) to get the file size before and after to see the amount of space you gained.
