With no x86 processor, operating system, device drivers, anti-virus software, hard drive, fan or similar components, PCoIP hardware zero clients virtually eliminate desktop maintenance.

10ZiG Technology (formerly BOSaNOVA, Inc.) has announced the release of their new V9000 Zero Client, featuring Teradici PCoIP (PC-over-IP) hardware for what the company calls the ultimate zero-client manageability. In addition, all 10ZiG V-Series thin clients support the software implementation of the PCoIP protocol in VMware View environments.

The new V9000 boasts the embedded Teradici PCoIP technology, providing a rich multimedia experience which supports 3D graphics, CAD, video animation and more. With no x86 processor, operating system, device drivers, anti-virus software, hard drive, fan or similar components, PCoIP hardware zero clients allow for easy implementation and virtually eliminates desktop maintenance. This hardware implementation of PCoIP technology offers the highest level of performance and enhanced graphical experience for even the most advanced end user application.

In addition to the new V9000 zero client, 10ZiG’s line of virtual thin clients also support the PCoIP protocol with VMware View 4. The V-Series Thin Clients are optimized for a desktop virtualization deployment with a variety of VDI clients installed. A wide range of hardware options are available, including the energy efficient Intel Atom thin client, offering high performance in a compact package.

“Teradici is excited to partner with 10ZiG, expanding the broad range of PCoIP zero client options available to organizations looking to deploy virtual desktops,” said Dan Cordingley, president & CEO, Teradici Corporation. “The new V9000 provides uncompromised user experience, enhanced security and IT manageability of remote computing solutions.”

“We pride ourselves on offering thin clients designed specifically for a desktop virtualization environment that are affordable, easy to implement and offer an uncompromised end user experience. With the addition of our new V9000 Zero Client, we now offer virtual desktop hardware options for all end users, even those that require graphically demanding applications,” says Martin Pladgeman, 10ZiG Technology, president. “As we focus on desktop virtualization, we’re pleased to work closely with companies like Teradici and VMware, who have made great strides in offering a true multimedia experience in a virtual environment.”
