The award-winning controller fulfills the needs of customers with Twinax devices.

BOSaNOVA, a 10ZiG company, worldwide distributor of iSeries connectivity products and developer of thin clients and network appliances, has announced that its latest version of e-Twinax Controller firmware is compatible with IBM i 7.1.

The latest firmware for the e-Twinax Controller, released in March, was tested and is compatible with IBM i 7.1. The e-Twinax Controller eliminates SNA, AnyNet and MPTN traffic, which is no longer supported in the latest i/OS release. The e-Twinax Controller attaches local or remote Twinax via Ethernet to provide a pure TCP/IP environment.

IBM documentation states that “starting in i 7.1, AnyNet (a method used to run SNA communications traffic over IP) is no longer supported.”

“The e-Twinax Controller is the only controller recommended by IBM and has been the number-one selling controller for eight years running, with thousands of successful installations worldwide,” notes Martin Pladgeman, BOSaNOVA president. “With IBM stating that they will no longer support AnyNet with the latest release, we’re pleased to have an award-winning product that will fulfill the need for customers with Twinax devices.”

The e-Twinax Controller is available for purchase through BOSaNOVA/10ZiG resellers.
