The TBT-1000 permits those who plan to move to desktop virtualization the ability to support the latest VDI clients.
10ZiG Technology (formerly BOSaNOVA, Inc.) has announced the release of the TBT-1000 Ethernet terminal.
The TBT-1000 is optimized to work as a green screen terminal replacement, with the features and flexibility of a thin client including built-in RDP and ICA. Powered by a 1GHz processor, the TBT-1000 is powerful and energy efficient. The Fast Boot feature, available on all 10ZiG Linux thin clients, offers half the normal boot-up time, and setup requires only three entries for 5250 to be up and running with no mouse required. This unit offers a wide assortment of legacy ports for flexible peripheral support in addition to wide screen and touch screen support.
The TBT-1000 is future-proof allowing those who plan to move to desktop virtualization the ability to support the latest VDI clients including VMware View 4 with support for PCoIP. This preserves the customer’s initial investment making the move to virtual desktops more affordable.
“The TBT-1000 is an Ethernet terminal with a future. It’s a dumb terminal today and a Windows terminal tomorrow,” said Martin Pladgeman, president, 10ZiG Technology. “We’re excited to have this new offering for our System i customers because it offers a faster, more flexible alternative to the other Ethernet terminals on the market at a very attractive price.”
The TBT-1000 is available for purchase through 10ZiG’s resellers. The base price of $195 (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) includes a comprehensive three-year advance exchange warranty, technical support, and software updates.
