Several Web sites, including MC Press Online, publish free RPG IV source code. My own Web site, RPGIV.com is another such site where source is provided for no charge. Check out the RPGIV.com downloads page for a list of what's available, which includes the source I publish here in MC RPG Developer.
In addition, many of these sites, again including MC Press Online and RPGIV.com, host lively online discussion forums that allow RPG IV programmers to exchange ideas, ask questions, and of course, answer questions as well.
RPGIV.com is also the place you can visit in 2006 to watch online RPG IV training courses. I'm in the process of producing several dozen of these videos. Some are available at no charge, and all are approximately 20 to 30 minutes in length. They cover one topic and get straight to the point. So far, the most popular video has been "Moving to Subprocedures from Subroutines," a presentation that compares and contrasts old-fashioned subroutines to modern subprocedures. Beginning in 2006, approximately two new videos will be posted for download each month for a small fee (under $25).
But there are other Web sites that offer example source code to the RPG IV community. Here is a short list of some that I have recently been made aware of. If you have others, please feel free to post them in the "Discuss This Article" forums discussion section at the end of this article.
