Profound Logic Software, the leader in IBM i modernization software, will announce the release of Profound UI version 5.0 at next week’s COMMON 2014 Annual Conference and Exposition in Orlando, Florida. Profound Logic will offer live product demonstrations at Booth #400 in the expo hall.
Profound UI 5.0 is developed with Profound Logic’s philosophy of flexible, open and easy-to-use modernization tools foremost in mind. In addition to Profound UI’s traditional support for RPG Open Access and Rich Display Files, the solution will:
- Streamline the support for green screen display files alongside Rich UI displays with RPG Open Access
- Offer support for stateless application and SEO-friendly website development
- Open RPG development to various technologies, such as AJAX, XML and dozens of UI frameworks
“Today’s businesses may use IBM i in a number of ways, and in endless combinations with other technologies,” explains Profound Logic’s CEO Alex Roytman. “For instance, many of our customers continue to use green screen applications alongside those with Rich UIs. They are also developing Rich interfaces for stateless, searchable applications, and working with a variety of development languages and frameworks, such as Sencha and Dojo. The capabilities in Profound UI 5.0 go beyond traditional IBM i modernization and development to support these projects.”
The Profound Logic team will demonstrate Profound UI 5.0 and answer questions about the latest version at Booth #400 in the exposition hall at the convention. Visitors to the booth will also have the opportunity to meet Profound Logic’s IBM Champions Brian May and Scott Klement; enter to win a Kindle Paperwhite tablet; and play “5250 Breakers”, a retro-style brick breaking game, for fun and prizes.
COMMON attendees can also sit in on any of the many sessions led by Profound Logic’s IBM I evangelists throughout the conference. Sessions include:
