Integrated Custom Software, Inc has announced the release of FormSprint V 200801 and its GUI form design tool, PC Designer. While FormSprint still contains the System i coordinates-based approach to form design, the optional PC Designer tool allows point-and-click, drag-and-drop design of forms and macros from a Windows PC, the company says.
Interfacing with the System i through System i Access, forms created with PC Designer are saved on the System i and can be modified with the FormSprint form editor. Spool file pages can be imported and displayed in PC Designer so the user can simply draw the form around the layout of the spool file page. Spool file data can be mapped to the form in a drag-and-drop process.
Additional features of FormSprint V 200801 include buffer mapping that shows what buffers are used as well as how they are used and function keys added to FormSprint link to help in troubleshooting forms processing.
