HelpSystems, developer of the monitoring, mapping, and alerting software InterMapper announces the release of 42 new InterMapper software plug-ins (probes), now available for free download to InterMapper customers. Newly released, customer-submitted probes were developed to monitor a variety of network devices from leading manufacturers including Cisco, Aruba Networks, Ubiquiti, Juniper, and Radware.

InterMapper’s real-time monitoring and mapping software is highly adaptable to fit unique network configurations and monitoring needs. Probes can extrapolate key data from any application or device with an IP address, and filter information to focus on what is important. They provide essential diagnostic information, identify problem devices and interfaces, and proactively alert users to potential issues. InterMapper probes save IT staff valuable time that they otherwise would spend searching for issues, often finding out there is a problem after a critical event has occurred.

InterMapper developers are continually adding new probes, in addition to the InterMapper users who create their own probes and share them with the InterMapper community.

“InterMapper has a thriving and loyal customer community,” said Janet Dryer, CEO of HelpSystems. “We truly consider them partners. They provide us with valuable information so that we can effectively address their needs and provide them with exceptional tools and support.”

Probes can monitor applications, such as MS SQL, Oracle, and SMTP Queue, as well as devices from any manufacturer. Newly released, customer-submitted probes were developed to monitor variables including temperature ranges, power usage, and fuel levels, as well as a variety of network devices such as routers, switches, load balancers, and more. Steven Matkoski, Syracuse, NY, recently submitted a probe for the Emerson/Marconi LMS1000 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that reads voltage and amperage, and provides him with alerts when certain thresholds are met. Steven wrote, "We had absolutely no ability to monitor these devices. With this probe, the UPS fits nicely into our remote site management."

HelpSystems offers a free 30-day trial of InterMapper. The trial includes full product access and free support.
