Company's FPM solution lauded for integrated planning, forecasting and overall value.

Infor, a provider of business application software serving over 70,000 customers, today announced that Ventana Research has once again ranked Infor as a top software vendor in its 2010 Value Index for Financial Performance Management (FPM).

Infor scored 90.4 percent, placing it among the highest rated "Hot Vendors" alongside SAP (90.5 percent) and IBM (90.4 percent). Ventana's annual ranking is based on the firm's proprietary independent research methodology, developed throughout the past decade. It assesses how well a vendor's offering meets buyers' requirements, taking into account product usability, manageability, reliability, capability and adaptability, as well as total cost of ownership and return on investment (TCO/ROI).

As Capable as Larger Rivals
"This year's index shows that Infor's FPM solution is every bit as capable as those of their larger rivals," said Robert Kugel, senior vice president of Ventana Research. "Their FPM suite is particularly strong in performing integrated business planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well as in creating and managing scorecards and connecting high level strategy with specific business unit and individual goals."

Tremendous Team Effort
"Scoring this high on the Value Index validates the tremendous effort our team has invested in making Infor FPM a world-class solution," said Scott Lindsay, director of product management, Performance Management, Infor. "Having Ventana, a trusted third-party, state that our capabilities are equal, and in many cases superior, to our competitors proves that our ongoing commitment to maximizing overall value for customers is paying off."

Infor's focus on automating key business processes and integrating over 70 acquisitions of proven and widely deployed application products has served its customers well. These customers include:

  • The top 10 aerospace companies
  • Over 450 major apparel and footwear companies
  • 14 of the world's top 25 automotive suppliers
