Maxava is marking the company’s 10th year in the business of developing high quality HA and disaster recovery (DR) software solutions for the IBM i Power Systems platform.
Formerly known as Maximum Availability, the company recently completed a major rebranding effort and has formally embraced the trading name “Maxava.” Maxava also rebranded its *noMAX range of products as the new "Maxava HA Suite."
2010 has been a watershed year for Maxava. In addition to the successful rebranding, the company added key Fortune 500 customers to its international base, introduced the innovative Maxview monitoring software for handheld devices, and grew its sales and support team worldwide.
"We are very proud of the achievements of our company over the last decade, especially with the difficult global economic climate,” said Allan Campbell, CEO. “Our commitment continues to be to develop the best IBM i HA software possible for the world’s most demanding customers and then to make it accessible to all IBM i customers regardless of their size. We remain absolutely focused on developing high performance, quality, robust and reliable solutions that are simple to use," he said.
Maxava’s software solutions are designed to incorporate the features, reliability and ease of use that are critical for any professional IBM i shop. Maxava HA software was originally designed to replicate extremely large AS/400 data volumes for the telecommunications market where other vendors’ software had been unable to meet performance requirements. As a result, Maxava’s HA solutions became the choice for very-large-volume IBM i enterprises, the company said.
Since its initial customer deployment, Maxava has cemented its position as a major player with HA/DR solutions across the entire IBM i customer spectrum, and it is now the only major fully dedicated IBM i HA vendor in the market, according to the company.
