In a joint announcement, Pattco Printer Systems and Priority Printer Solutions have announced that the two business printer, printer maintenance, and printer consumables companies have agreed to combine operations and create a new company, Pattco Priority Printer Solutions, Inc. The newly merged firm will be able to better focus on providing its customers with equipment and services in a competitive marketing environment. Joseph S. Van Patton, president and CEO of Pattco, will become chairman of the board of the new company. Priority CEO/Owner, Kenneth A. Halford, will serve as president and CEO. Charles L. Cox, Priority CFO/Owner will serve as executive vice-president and CFO.
The combined venture builds on the financial strengths of the two successful organizations to create a world-class printer solutions company with a full range of printers ranging from monochrome and color lasers, to continuous form laser, to line printers and thermal transfer printers, consumables, auto data collection solutions and on-site services.
"Our core strength will remain what it has always beenùproviding and servicing enterprise-critical printers that our customers know they can count on. Looking forward, we will continue to build on that strength, with the goal of maintaining a leading position in the solutions-for-business market," said Halford.
Pattco Priority "will continue to serve its combined customer base with the same quality product lines, on-site printer services, consumables, and workplace solutions already in place," said Van Patton. "It is our intent for our customers to see a seamless transition as we meld the two organizations into one, as if nothing changed," added Cox.
Both companies are committed to providing great products and will continue to represent their current combined list of nationally known manufacturers. Pattco Priority represents a combined list of products from Printronix, Printek, TallyGenicom, Microplex, AMTDatasouth, Datamax, Sato, HP, Kyocera, Lexmark, OKIData, Xerox, Motorola, and Zebra Technologies.
"Joining forces simply makes Pattco Priority a stronger distributor-reseller as it moves forward, allowing us to effectively compete with the new products and services demanded by the industrial and commercial market," said Van Patton.
The new organization will continue to be headquartered in Marietta, GA. The new company will provide direct sales coverage throughout the southeast and mid-Atlantic States with account relationship managers based in five regional offices: Atlanta region, north central Florida, middle Tennessee/Kentucky, east Tennessee, and the Baltimore/Washington region. Field engineering services are provided nationwide, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Canada via the companies' own field engineering force and strategic field engineering partners.
