8 full-day workshops feature labs & live instruction, online

System i Developer today announces Summit Hands-On Live!, a series of live, interactive workshops that will take place online each Tuesday and Thursday from April 27, 2021 through May 20, 2021.

Instructors Paul Tuohy, Susan Gantner, Jon Paris, and Mike Pavlak will meet with students in real time to go deep into 8 different technical skill sets needed by today’s IBM i developers.

“In our experience, developers learn best when they immerse themselves completely in a new skill, practicing what they learn as they go. Face-to-face instruction keeps learners focused and productive, able to ask questions and get answers immediately,” says Susan Gantner, partner in System i Developer.

Each single-topic workshop is limited to 20 students to ensure individual attention. In addition, each features a full day of training, hands-on labs and lab workbook, and access to an IBM i. The Hands-On Workshop topics include:

  • RPG Procedures & Service Programs
  • SQL for the RPG Programmer
  • Intermediate SQL for RPG Developers
  • SQL Procedures, Functions and Triggers
  • Python for RPGers
  • RDi Quick Start
  • RDi Beyond the Basics
  • Build a Modern RPG Application (a 2-day workshop)

SuperSaver rates are in effect through Friday, April 2, 2021. In addition, discounts are available to RPG & DB2 Summit Alumni as well as individuals and groups who attend multiple workshops.
