IBM PureApplication Service on SoftLayer Provides Portability to Off-Premise Cloud

IBM PureApplication Service on SoftLayer (PureApplication Service) offers a way to run IBM and business partner software patterns while taking advantage of cloud rental economics in the SoftLayer cloud, and while maintaining the isolation levels you require. You may purchase a subscription to a dedicated off-premise cloud infrastructure on a monthly basis, and either purchase or rent (monthly) the software to run in that environment. Patterns are portable between PureApplication Service and on-premises deployment options such as PureApplication System and IBM SmartCloud Orchestrator. This enables hybrid cloud use cases to be based on PureApplication Service.

 

PureApplication Service on SoftLayer provides:

 

    • Monthly subscription for hardware infrastructure and middleware, allowing clients to buy just enough

 

    • Dedicated hardware for your workloads

 

    • Portability of patterns between the IBM pattern engine on premises and PureApplication Service to enable hybrid cloud

 

    • A simple way for applications based on traditional middleware to move to PureApplication Service on SoftLayer cloud
