Improved integration now makes it easier for users to streamline quote-to-fulfillment, order-entry, and other forms-based business processes by using WebForms to capture data.
RJS Software Systems has announced the release of WebDocs 1.4.0, a major upgrade to its flagship Windows-based document management software. The release includes direct integration with the company’s WebForms software, an improved user interface, and enhanced email, search and display capabilities.
While WebDocs core function has always been that of a secure document repository and routing tool for IBM i spool files, PC documents and reports generated from ERP and other line of business applications, it hadn’t been fully integrated with RJS’s popular WebForms software until now.
WebDocs users can access and use WebForms directly from the WebDocs application, giving them more form and document management options than ever before. The integration now makes it easier for users to streamline quote-to-fulfillment, order-entry and other forms-based business processes by using WebForms to capture data in a Web form. That data and the resulting forms can be stored in WebDocs, and can be routed through business processes or distributed via email or other methods.
Additional enhancements to WebDocs include graphical interface upgrades and the ability to add custom messages to the login and dashboard screens. Other improvements include streamlined email features, more flexible search and display options, and tighter integration with RJS’s advanced workflow solution, Enterprise Workflow.
Key enhancements include:
- Direct integration with RJS’ WebForms software
- Ability to send multiple documents and attachments in a single email
- Sortable columns, improved folder browsing, and the ability to display index keys in the software’s document routing box
- Improved integration with RJS Enterprise Workflow product
These recent updates are part of an aggressive RJS enhancement strategy that has seen the both the IBM i and Windows versions of WebDocs upgraded in recent months. Similar enhancements have also taken place with other key RJS products, including SignHere and iForms.
