BCD Releases Catapult 7.8

BCD announces the release of Catapult 7.8, their automated IBM i and PC report and document distribution tool. This version’s key new feature is the option to start and stop the Poller on specific days of the week. Catapult’s Poller is the component that automatically distributes reports. This new option makes it easier to shut the Poller down on weekends, which many people do for system backups and maintenance. It also reduces hands-on management and offers greater control over the Poller’s performance.

Catapult 7.8 also includes improved PDF encryption with a more secure algorithm (128bit instead of 40bit), the ability to double click an outqueue in the Poller configuration to select/deselect it for polling, and email address validation that includes broader range of possible formats.
