IBM® i2® Enterprise Insight Analysis delivers the capabilities of IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis Core Edition and the advanced analytics capabilities provided in IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis Advanced Edition as a single, scalable offering. Identity analytics capability is available through the IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis Recommendation Engine Add On component.

i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis is designed for the analyst community, whether that community is performing traditional analysis and intelligence production or is collating and analyzing high-volume transactional data. i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis offers an optimized group analysis repository with a rich multidimensional visual analysis client for analyst teams focusing on intelligence production for both strategic and tactical investigations.

For teams needing to analyze high-volume transactional data, such as signals intelligence (SIGINT) and communication intelligence (COMINT) and then layering results with all-source intelligence to create a richer more complete intelligence product, a more complex infrastructure is supported using either IBM DB2® Enterprise Server Edition or IBM PureData® System for Operational Analytics. This infrastructure enables trillions of records to be stored for analysis, leveraging the multidimensional visual analysis client to extend traditional analysis techniques to take advantage of the value of big data in support of near real-time decision making.

Note: DB2 Enterprise Server Edition or PureData® for Operational Analytics must be purchased separately. Specification of the Information Store for big data is determined by the amount of data to be stored.

Additional capabilities for extending i2 Enterprise Intelligence Analysis remain available as optional add ons:

• IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis Recommendation Engine Add On delivers automated identity resolution and a recommendation engine that helps analysts and investigators to quickly determine when multiple identities are actually the same. In addition, connections that are not obvious are highlighted, allowing the analyst to make connections otherwise hidden in the noise. Proactive alerts call out when new information is available and when data points have been altered, strengthened, or resolved.
• IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis Collaborate Add On is designed for other key stakeholders in the organization, including researchers, investigators, front-line personnel, and decision makers. It extends and leverages the valuable intelligence created by the analysts. It provides access to a core subset of capabilities that are delivered through a lightweight browser-based application. These capabilities can help users from outside the traditional intelligence unit work alongside the analysts and perform supportive roles, including information collection.
• IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis Operational Awareness Add On adds dashboard and key performance indicator capabilities to help provide the operational leader with a clearer picture of the event with near real-time situational awareness.
