Bytware Announces i5virus Game Winners

Bytware, Inc., developer of system management and security solutions for the IBM System i, this week announced winners of its i5virus promotion, which was launched at COMMON Focus last October and was concluded in December.

The "i5virus: A Game of Espionage and System i Security" promotion was a combination online game and awareness campaign designed to increase understanding of security issues surrounding the use of PHP on System i.

Combining a YouTube video shot on location in Tokyo with a unique game site that sent players "around the globe" in search of cyber criminals, i5virus became a smash hit with System i users and the media, according to Bytware. More than 1,600 players from 65 countries took part in the game.

Chris Jones, Bytware director of marketing, said he would "like to thank everyone who participated for making the game a great success!"

He said Bytware would like to congratulate the following System i users who were selected as winners in a random drawing from correct and qualifying entries:
