System Logging Solutions from Townsend Offered as New Managed Service

Patrick Townsend and Associates, a leading provider of IT security products, has launched a new partnership program for managed services providers (MSPs). Now MSPs of all sizes can offer log collection and encryption services to their clients using "the same proven technology employed by the nation's largest enterprises," says Patrick Townsend, company founder. "Log monitoring represents an excellent growth opportunity for MSPs," he says.

Townsend says that due to compliance regulations like PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, and HIPAA, an increasing number of organizations are required to collect and analyze logs from their servers and network devices. If they have the right tools, MSPs can perform this service more economically and more securely than most companies can do it internally, according to Townsend.

"Our technology is affordable, safe, reliable, scalable, and proven," says Townsend. "It works on all platforms including Unix, Linux, Windows, and IBM System i (AS/400 or iSeries). "MSPs can easily integrate our products into their existing NOC and SOC infrastructure and business models," he says.

Townsend says it isn't necessary for the MSP to be a product expert to sell the service. "We provide complete support from our headquarters in Olympia, Washington, including pre-sales consultation, installation, training, and ongoing software and customer support," says Townsend. "The MSP can focus on selling the service and maintaining the client relationship."
