About eight years ago, I started RPGIV.com, a Web site dedicated to providing RPG developers with free information. Today, the online forum is by far the most popular aspect of the Web site. With 500 to 3,000 visitors each day, anyone looking for an answer to a tough RPG IV or other iSeries question can probably find it in the forum.

Today, without signing in, you can search, read, or browse any of the more than 30,000 messages covering nearly 5,000 topics. So if you're just looking for an answer, you can visit anonymously, find your answer, and disappear into the night without anyone knowing you were there.

In recent weeks, I've updated the forum to include a simple registration system that requires you to sign in to post messages. This was done primarily to avoid having Web scripts post erroneous links to non-iSeries Web sites.

If you do need to post a question or if you want to help out another RPG programmer, take the short, one-time step to create a user ID. Then log in and post your own messages, create new topics, reply to others needing help, and edit your own messages (we're not all perfect typists after all).

While you're there, take notice of who's been visiting recently, get to know your colleagues in the industry, take the weekly survey, or check out the Quick Tip Lane. I think with the new changes and sign-on security, the forum at RPGIV.com/forum is one of the best places to find the solutions to your questions.
