IBM has just updated the native .NET provider that's part of the iSeries Access for Windows product so that it's compatible with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, which was introduced in the fourth quarter of 2005. This recent IBM update does not include any support for ADO 2.0-specific functionality, but it will allow the .NET provider to work on clients with .NET Framework 2.0 installed.
To access this V5R3 update for the .NET provider, just go to the IBM Web site and download and install Service Pack SI21917.
