TMW Systems, Inc., a software provider to logistics, trucking, construction, and utility firms, as well as municipal fleets, has announced new customer wins that the company says emphasize its strong value proposition in the transportation services industry.
"We have long provided powerful, robust products for the industry," said David Schildmeyer, senior vice president of sales for TMW. "Customers are telling us that flexibility and scalability distinguish our products from others in the marketplace," he says.
Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Yarbrough Transfer Co. is one of TMW's newest customers for TMWSuite, a Windows-based enterprise transportation system. The company specializes in interstate and intrastate transportation services for heavy machinery, contractors' equipment, and other heavy and oversized equipment.
"One of the main reasons we selected TMW over other prospective vendors is that TMW provides the most flexible solution we tested," said David Yarbrough, executive vice president. "As a specialized carrier, we have unique needs in terms of asset tracking, maintenance, load planning, and order entry. We found TMW was able to accommodate our business needs where some others were not able to do so."
W.N. Morehouse Truck Line upgraded to an enterprise site license of IDSC ExpertFuel after using a Web-based version of fuel purchase optimization software developed by the TMW Optimization Software group, formerly known as Integrated Decision Support Corp. (IDSC).
"It worked great," explained Curt Morehouse, IT manager for W.N. Morehouse, which specializes in hauling refrigerated products throughout the Midwest. "We needed the ability to track compliance. TMW has the best price and the best system suitable for the smaller carrier, but with the same power the larger carriers are using."
Other new customers purchasing licenses for TMW products included: Genesis Logistics, Trans-National, Inc., and Pope Transport for TMWSuite; Xxcell Freight Systems, and Hardy Brothers, Inc., for TruckMate; and VehiCare for TMW Asset Maintenance.
