Tivoli Provisioning Manager V7.2.2 Adds Entitlement to IBM Endpoint Manager Products

IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager V7.2.2 is an operational management product that has been part of the IBM Integrated Service Management suite of products. Tivoli Provisioning Manager V7.2.2 provides underlying resource provisioning and configuration management functions that can be executed as specific steps in systems management processes.

 

Tivoli Provisioning Manager V7.2.2 delivers server management on a Resource Value Units (RVU) basis and if current with Tivoli Provisioning Manager V7.2.2 Software Subscription and Support, you are entitled to both IBM Endpoint Manager for Lifecycle Management and IBM Endpoint Manager for Server Automation on an RVU basis. These offerings can then be used as a supporting program for Tivoli Provisioning Manager V7.2.2 up to the level of RVU entitlements that are authorized.

 

The use of Endpoint Manager for Lifecycle Management and Endpoint Manager for Server Automation as a supporting program is applicable to Tivoli Provisioning Manager for server licenses only. Tivoli Provisioning Manager for client licenses are eligible to use Endpoint Manager for Lifecycle Management client licenses only. They are not entitled to use IBM Endpoint Manager for Server Automation.

 

The IBM Endpoint Manager portfolio provides real-time visibility and control of client and server systems through a single infrastructure, single agent, and single console for server lifecycle management including asset discovery and inventory, software distribution, patch management, and task automation.

 

Tivoli Provisioning Manager V7.2.2 management server adds new enhancements and additional support for the following platforms:

 

    • Certification of Solaris 11 Managed To

 

    • Certification of SLES 11 SP3 Managed From/To

 

    • Certification of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.9 Managed To/From

 

    • Certification of RHEL 6.4 Managed To/From
