InfoSphere BigInsights Enterprise Edition V2.1 is an analytics platform that enables analysis of a wide variety of unconventional information types and formats at large-scale volumes, without up-front preprocessing.

 

With BigInsights V2.1, you get Big SQL, which is a SQL interface for accessing data in Hadoop; high availability that eliminates administrator intervention and reduces downtime; and General Parallel File System - File Placement Optimizer (GPFS-FPO) support, which is an alternative file system to HDFS that brings Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX) compliance and no single point of failure. BigInsights V2.1 also delivers enhancements to the Social Data Analytics Accelerator and the Machine Data Analytics Accelerator that were introduced in V2.0, and it broadens the BigSheets data discovery capability on unstructured text.
