IBM General Parallel File System Pattern V1.0.0.1

IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS) Pattern V1.0.0.1 for IBM PureApplication Systems provides a highly available shared file system required by many production level workloads in multideployment solutions.

 

GPFS Pattern supports:

  • Deploying a replicated, highly available file system on a single rack or spanning PureApplication Systems of the same architecture.

  • Deployment of virtual system patterns using a GPFS shared file system.

  • Deployment of virtual application patterns using a GPFS shared file system.

  • Enabling connection to a GPFS cluster external to PureApplication System.

     

     

    If you are an existing PureApplication System customer with current appliance maintenance and S&S, you are entitled to use the GPFS Pattern. You may submit a PMR to request the pattern.

     

    Both the current PureApplication System license and the new GPFS Pattern license apply to you if you are using the GPFS pattern.
