IBM Connections V4.5 and IBM Connections Content Manager V4.5 add new Passport Advantage Processor Value Unit (PVU) part numbers. The IBM license associated with these new part numbers permits the licensee to provide functionality to all individuals, including the licensee's employees or independent contractors on a PVU basis.

 

IBM Connections V4.5 and IBM Connections Content Manger V4.5 PVU part numbers provide the following benefits:

  • Increase the licensing options in both intranet and extranet usage scenarios
  • Complement the existing Authorized User and extranet PVU license options

 

IBM Connections V4.5 is social software for business that lets you access the people in your professional network, including your colleagues, customers, and partners. IBM Connections Content Manager V4.5 is available as a separately priced add-on offering for IBM Connections V4.5. IBM Connections Content Manager V4.5 provides rich content libraries for IBM Connections Communities, integrating content management and social capabilities. Members can interact with content in the community library in a social and dynamic way. For example, they can use tags to categorize content and improve document retrieval, and like documents to recommend them to fellow members. Members can also track document updates in the community activity stream, follow documents, comment on documents, and see who has downloaded them.

 

These new part numbers complement the existing Passport Advantage part numbers for these products. The existing Passport Advantage part numbers for IBM Connections and IBM Connections Content Manager remain available.
