Tripwire Announces Support for IBM i5/OS and DB2

Tripwire, Inc. today announced its support for the IBM i5/OS (IBM i) operating system and IBM DB2 data servers, providing change control for this mainstay operating environment. As systems of choice for many retail, finance and manufacturing business-critical applications, i5/OS (formerly OS/400) and DB2 systems are widely used infrastructure frequently subject to payment card industry (PCI) data security standards as well as many other regulatory requirements. With today's announcement, Tripwire extends its ability to provide a single, integrated view of compliance across an even greater breadth and depth of IT infrastructure - from network devices and databases to operating systems, middleware and virtualisation.

Tripwire is a comprehensive solution for managing configuration compliance within the data center. By increasing the breadth and depth of Tripwire Enterprise to support IBM i5/OS, Tripwire Enterprise now provides an end-to-end configuration solution for the platform used by over 16,000 banks worldwide and by 95 percent of Fortune 100 companies. Using Tripwire to ensure that the proper processes and compliance reporting is in place is imperative for many customers to providing a single, integrated environment for continuous compliance.

Tripwire Enterprise support of IBM DB2 extends Tripwire's monitoring of business-critical database applications to now include Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2 databases.

Tripwire Enterprise will initially support DB2 on AIX, Windows, and HPUX platforms.
