S4i Systems, a leading provider of disk management and document management solutions, has announced it is ramping up its sales and marketing efforts on several fronts, first by appointing Jenniefer Halverson to head the company's Marketing and Channel Development division, and second by introducing a new and highly affordable subscription service.

S4i is rolling out the red carpet to companies looking to better manage their disk resources on the iSeries, the company said. With the introduction of a new subscription model for DASD-Plus, DASD-Plus Alert (formerly known as disk/HUNTER) and DASD-Plus Chart, customers will be able to use the S4i tools for as long as they need, for as little as $350 a month.

"There is certainly more flexibility with subscription pricing which can be a significant benefit for customers that are faced with trying to do more with a lot less these days," says Susanne States, S4i's Sales and Client Services director. "System i customers are seeking the tools necessary for their business and we can help them by customizing a pricing structure that works with any procurement model. System i customers have spoken, and S4i is listening, making functionality affordable in today's market."

Whether it's six-months or three-years, S4i Systems is able to provide a model that provides disk diagnostics, analytics, reporting, management and unused space optimization for each customer no matter the budget. For a low monthly fee, new customers may choose one or all three modules for their package, the company says.

DASD-Plus is easy to use delivering diagnostic, cleanup, analytical, and reporting functionality. Multiple disk cleanup routines can be scheduled, from clearing history logs, to re-sizing libraries, job queues and objects.

Foretelling future DASD requirements has become easier with new forecasting features that allow users or administrators to make predictions of disk usage based on current trends. Simply enter the number of days forward that you want the disk utilization forecast to address, and DASD-Plus Chart will predict the future capacity requirements based on current growth trends.

DASD-Plus Alert joined the toolset a year ago adding real time-spike detection, notification services and data collection of root cause information - making DASD-Plus the perfect addition to the System i user's arsenal of tools.

Meanwhile, S4i has announced that Jenniefer Halverson has joined the team as director of Marketing and Channel Development.  In her new role, Halverson leads S4i's marketing division, including implementing programs to expand awareness and recognition of the company.  She is also responsible for managing the execution and growth of strategic partnerships for the company.

Halverson previously was with Centerfield Technology as director of IBM i Client Partners. She managed several large client, product, and marketing initiatives. Halverson has more than 20 years of sales, marketing, and channel experience for companies that include Marriott, Wolfgang Puck's Coffee and Camanco Communications.  She is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

"Bringing Jenniefer's iSeries marketing experience to the distribution channel puts S4i Systems in a position to augment our sales strategy by forming more strategic partnerships with organizations serving the same customers and adding to our family of authorized resellers," said Spencer Elliott, S4i president." Her depth of knowledge and skills will better help us deliver real value to our channel partners by developing programs and packaging products to meet the needs of the iSeries community," he said. "Jenniefer will help us grow our team's unique value proposition with very competitive products designed from a combination of our experience and the needs of our customers - all from the i perspective."
