ProData has put out a call to members of COMMON that it would like more input into what users want in the way of products and product features from the company.

Creator of the System i's stalwart utility DBU, ProData is a strong supporter of the System i, a longtime IBM Business Partner, and regular supporter of COMMON. The company's reach extends to more than 20,000 software installations on the System i around the world.

COMMON and ProData wish to create an advocacy team that would act as an advisory group for ProData and allow further participation and enrichment in the System i experience for COMMON members. The team would work with ProData and COMMON representatives to create requirements for future System i products and software upgrades.

Prospective advisory team members should be able to answer "yes" to at least one of these questions:

  • Are you currently a programmer using System i?
  • Do you use any ProData products in your production environment?
  • Do you use DBU database utility, or any other ProData products frequently?
  • How many years have you used ProData products?

Anyone interested in joining the team who meets one or more of the above criteria may apply through Ron Newman reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
