BCD Software LLC., a Quadrant Software company and an IBM i industry leader for almost 40 years, has announced the release of Presto 6.2, their rapid green screen and new RPG application modernization tool. Highlights of this release include a mobile signature capture element and an SQL query preview feature.

“Many IBM i shops are realizing they can improve business processes and customer service by providing mobile access to their modernized green screens. We support this in Presto by continually adding new mobile features, like the signature capture element in this release,” says Marcel Sarrasin, Quadrant’s VP of Corporate Marketing.

Mobile Signature Capture Element

Presto's Visual Editor Palette now includes an HTML5 signature capture element that enables users to draw their signature on tablets and smartphones. The signature is then saved as an image on the IFS.

SQL Query Preview

SQL queries are most commonly used to dynamically populate drop down lists, autocompletes and charts in Presto. The Presto Designer's SQL query list now includes a Preview button so you can run queries and preview their results.
