New version includes support for multiple file attachments within a single AS2 message, synchronous MDN receipts, and message integrity verification.

Linoma Software has launched a new release of GoAnywhere Director, the managed file transfer (MFT) solution that automates data movement, encryption, compression, and data translation for the enterprise. Using GoAnywhere Director, organizations can meet compliance requirements by securely connecting to almost any system, database or trading partner with detailed audit logs and status alerts, the company says.

V3.2.0 of GoAnywhere Director provides a connector for sending data using the AS2 V1.2 standard. This includes support for multiple file attachments within a single AS2 message, synchronous MDN receipts and message integrity verification. AS2 messages can be sent over an SSL tunnel, making it a secure option for transferring sensitive data.

One of the main advantages of AS2 is its inherent ability to utilize signed receipts and checksums to create a non-repudiation of receipt (NRR), which is considered a legal proof of delivery. Organizations have traditionally used AS2 to transmit EDI documents such as purchase orders, but this flexible protocol can be used for any type of business documents including XML, Excel, CSV and PDF files.

“We already support the popular transfer protocols of FTP, SFTP, FTPS, SCP, HTTP/s, SQL and email in GoAnywhere Director,” says Bob Luebbe, Linoma chief architect. “With the addition of AS2 message support, customers can use this single solution for all of their file transmission needs…while eliminating redundant transfer tools and saving on yearly maintenance costs.”

This 3.2.0 release also includes Syslog server integration, advanced scheduling options, enhanced server certificate handling and FTP checksum validation options.

Companies can create sophisticated projects in GoAnywhere Director for multi-step processing of files, eliminating manual intervention, and custom programming/scripts. For example, GoAnywhere Director can scan a server halfway around the world for files, then securely retrieve and decrypt them. While parsing and importing the contents into a database, GoAnywhere Director can send customized status alerts or automate further processes.

No programming or special technical skills are required to use GoAnywhere Director. Remote administration and monitoring is performed from any Web browser or Internet-enabled phone.  Processes in GoAnywhere Director can be launched from a variety of third-party applications, schedulers and languages including CL, RPG, Java, C, .NET and PHP.

GoAnywhere Director installs on a variety of platforms and related operating systems, including IBM i, IBM p, IBM z, Windows, Linux (SUSE, Red Hat), UNIX (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris), and Mac OS X.  It can connect with popular database systems including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Informix, PostgreSQL, Sybase and MySQL.

Full details and a free, fully functional trial of GoAnywhere Director are available at www.GoAnywhereMFT.com. Pricing starts at $3,995.
