Azul Systems, leader in Java runtime scalability, has formed a commercial partnership with Epidata Consulting, a market leading South American-based IT consultancy that focuses on software architecture and application performance and monitoring management. Under the agreement, Epidata Consulting adds Azul’s Zing to its Java performance management toolkit to enable it to deliver increased application productivity and business efficiencies to new and existing clients.

Through the partnership, Epidata Consulting is now able to provide an enhanced service which can guarantee improved application response times and more efficient resource consumption to ensure quality metrics and SLAs (Service Level Agreements) criteria are achieved and maintained. Azul’s Zing is a 100% Java-compatible Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and the only solution that delivers low latency, certainty of execution and a quick time to value with zero code changes and no disruption to a company’s existing infrastructure.

Valerio Adrián Anacleto, Director at Epidata Consulting, said: “Deterministic Java performance is a business critical requirement for many of our customers, which is why we approached Azul Systems. Azul’s Zing is seen by many as the de facto industry choice if you are looking to guarantee application performance and throughput. Our business has grown on our ability to minimize the risk of application downtime, now that Zing has become a component of our portfolio our offering has become even more engaging.”

Scott Sellers, CEO of Azul Systems, said: “Epidata is undoubtedly the leader in its field in Argentina and Chile, which are two countries we are keen to penetrate. Now when one of their consultants identifies a JVM performance issue, they are able to drop in our solution and provide immediate business benefit to their client. It is pleasing when an IT consultancy that specializes in Java seeks out your technology and recognizes the distinct value it brings to the architectural table. Through Epidata, we expect to deliver many high-value add solutions in the South American market.”

Epidata Consulting is also one of the leading Red Hat (JBoss) integration partners in South America and has a diverse set of clients which includes HSBC, JP Morgan, Volkswagen, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Movistar, Walmart and OSDE.

Azul Systems delivers high performance and elastic Java Virtual Machines (JVMs) with unsurpassed scalability, manageability, and production-time visibility. Designed and optimized for x86 servers and enterprise-class workloads, Azul’s Zing JVM is the only Java runtime that supports highly consistent and pauseless execution for throughput-intensive and QoS-sensitive Java applications. Azul’s products enable organizations to dramatically simplify Java deployments with fewer instances, greater response time consistency, and dramatically better operating costs.
