Pete Elliot, Director of Marketing at Key Info, reported: “We are pulling the most experienced members of our Solutions Architect Team and Professional Services Team into this project to make sure that clients looking at PureSystems have the best skills available to them. Our certified PureSystems specialists will be working with clients in our own extensive BPIC facility that we have invested over $2 million into over the past five years.”

IBM announced the PureSystems platform in April to combat the current workload devoted to integration and maintenance work just to keep complex computer systems and data centers up and running efficiently. Their announcement states, “The new systems family offers clients an alternative to today’s enterprise computing model, where multiple and disparate systems require significant resources to set up and maintain.” The announcement points out, “The prime challenge facing companies worldwide is the need to spend 70 percent or more of IT budgets on simple operations and maintenance, leaving little to invest in innovation.[1] Two-thirds of corporate IT projects are delivered over budget and behind schedule, according to a recent study by IBM which also found that only one in five corporate IT departments are able to spend the majority of their IT budget on innovation.”

Elliot added, “We are happy to be announcing our PureSystems Competency Center at the annual meeting of the COMMON user group where much of the interest of attendees is expected to be focused on this latest blockbuster announcement from IBM.”

Elliot continued, “We are pushing IBM for early delivery of PureSystems to equip our BPIC for demonstrations and tests with our clients. The Competency Center is a major focus of ours throughout the remainder of 2012 and is up and running now.”

The first deliverable from the Competency Center, the Key Info PureSystems Self-Test providing a quick assessment of potential need for PureSystems, was distributed at the COMMON Conference. An in-depth On-Site PureSystems Assessment is available through the Center’s certified specialists.
