RKD Software has announced the launch of a new online barcode generator service that is based on the company's popular barcode generating tools.
Simply called the RKD On-Line Barcode Generator Service, it requires only that the user enter her barcode parameters to receive a URL, which takes her to a page that displays the barcode. The service supports both GET and POST HTTP request methods, the company says.

The image is simply downloaded from the Internet into the resident application such as MS Word, Excel, or Crystal Reports. What makes On-Line Barcode Generator Service even more appealing, the company says, is that the user can choose among various settings for her barcodes.
No programming of barcodes is required, the company says, and the user can easily insert a barcode into any application or document. All the technical tasks are handled by the the company, including maintenance of the server and updating the software.
The company says it will continue to offer its line of server-based barcode generators: Linear Barcode, DataMatrix or PDF417, for those customers who wish to run them on their own computers.
