RKD Software has announced the launch of a new online barcode generator service that is based on the company's popular barcode generating tools.

Simply called the RKD On-Line Barcode Generator Service, it requires only that the user enter her barcode parameters to receive a URL, which takes her to a page that displays the barcode. The service supports both GET and POST HTTP request methods, the company says.

"Today our barcode tools are able to meet the demands of virtually any user. We have ActiveX, .NET and ASP.NET tools to generate Linear barcodes, DataMatrix or PDF417 (Portable Data File 417)," says Mike Zeller, CEO at RKD Software. "With On-Line Barcode Generator Service we plan to help those who are looking for an Internet solution, but wouldn't like to buy and operate their own server. On-Line Barcode Generator Service takes care of the whole process, which means you are going to save money as there is no need to buy extra software."
