The paper is the first in a newly launched white paper series called "Paperless Process Management in Action." The series will explore how going paperless in various departments can improve business processes while reducing operating and labor costs.
The first paper focuses on the accounts payable department. It investigates the inefficiencies of paper in AP, while exploring how modernizing paper-dependent processes through paperless process management (PPM) can allow an AP department to streamline its workflow, take advantage of vendor discounts, and automate redundant menial tasks. It further explores the PPM philosophy of focusing on business goals, as opposed to simply advanced technology, to help ensure a successful implementation.
The white paper goes on to examine the value of involving all users in a technology implementation, as well as the importance of comprehensive business analysis with a potential vendor through the solution design.
Several case studies are also offered on how various companies have leveraged PPM to their advantage and give real-world examples of how their business processes were revolutionized through PPM.
The white paper is available for immediate download by visiting the MC White Paper Center.
