ASNA, a BluePhoenix Solutions company, today announced the appointment of Greg Schottland as president.

Previous to this appointment, Schottland managed North American sales for BluePhoenix, a position he accepted after BluePhoenix's acquisition of CodeStream (formally Xitec Software) where he served as president. He brings experience in both the technical and business aspects of legacy migration.

"ASNA has been a driving force in the System i market as an advocate of both the platform and the developer community. I look forward to helping our customers leverage the System i to address their business challenges," said Schottland.

Prior to his work in the legacy modernization market, he founded and led Advanced Software Technologies, an object-oriented software design tools provider. Schottland has worked for Bell Laboratories, Lockheed Martin, and IBM in both technical and business related positions, enabling him to bring both a strong background in software development and technology, along with a sharp focus on the business realities of building and growing successful technology companies. He has 25 years of high-tech industry experience.

Schottland joins the company at an important time in the market, as System i users are faced with a variety of challenges including expanded business requirements, managing a mix of technologies and ensuring uninterrupted service to customers. ASNA offers a variety of services and products to help its customers address these needs.
