Successful CIO advises how to bridge the IT/business "great divide."
System i Developer, the consortium of top educators on IBM i development technologies and producers of the RPG & DB2 Summit, today announced Roxanne Reynolds-Lair, CIO at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), as Keynote speaker at the RPG & DB2 Summit in St. Louis, Missouri, Oct. 17.
As a four-time recipient of the COMMON/IBM Power Systems Innovation Award, Reynolds-Lair will draw upon her experience to discuss innovation from a CIO perspective as well as how to bridge the IT/business “great divide” to achieve management buy-in for innovative ideas.
"As one the most effective CIOs in the IBM i community, Roxanne knows what it takes to cultivate a dynamic, creative IBM i development environment," says Susan Gantner, System i Developer partner. "A big part of that is successfully advocating for business-worthy innovation among management,” says Gantner. “We're thrilled to have her share her front-line experiences and insights with us. She will add an even deeper business context to the Summit's core technical curriculum."
