EXTOL International, a B2B integration solution provider, has announced the general availability of its EXTOL Enterprise Adapter V1.2 software package for EXTOL Business Integrator (EBI), with enhanced integration support for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications. The updated Enterprise Adapter includes design-time tools and pre-built integration objects that significantly reduce the time needed to integrate EDI trading partners with Oracle EBS, using the Oracle e-Commerce Gateway (ECG).
The Enterprise Adapter package includes an importer for Oracle ECG definition files, along with customizable maps and business processes for frequently-used order-to-cash EDI transactions. The Oracle ECG Metadata Importer supports additional EDI transaction types in conjunction with EDI standards, process modeling, mapping, adapter configuration and other EBI-provided tools. EBI also supplies built-in integration support for Oracle EBS using XML documents and web services.
EXTOL Enterprise Adapters (EEA) extend EXTOL's business integration middleware and tools by providing support for commercial application software products from vendors such as Infor, Oracle, SAP and TMW. Oracle customers can use the Enterprise Adapter with EXTOL Business Integrator to implement a wide range of processes including order-to-cash, supply chain visibility, demand-driven replenishment and partner-proprietary transactions. Using additional base product features, they can also integrate non-EDI trading partner interfaces, cloud services, file and database resources, and other application software processes.
"With this latest Enterprise Adapter release, Oracle users no longer need to implement the most common EDI transactions from scratch," said Mark Denchy, director of product management at EXTOL. "And with our unique Design-time Automation technology, customers can respond faster than ever to a wide variety of trading partner and internal business process requirements."
EXTOL Enterprise Adapter v1.2 supports Oracle E-Business Suite R11 and compatible releases, as well as EDI process deployment on Windows, Linux and IBM i platforms.
