AMB, a leader in the development and marketing of data profiling and cleansing tools, is introducing AMB-InfoPublish support for IBM DataStage/Information Server ETL tools. AMB-InfoPublish integrates AMB's InfoExpose data profiling/quality metadata into industry standard ETL tools, continuing the enhancement of connectivity between AMB and IBM, directly profiling DB2/400, DB2 UDB, and zOS DB2.

AMB-InfoPublish supports both DataStage 7.5 and DataStage 8.0. Users can create Table Definitions from AMB's InfoExpose profile browser.

With AMB-InfoPublish, technical and non-technical users can cost-effectively profile entire DB2 (UDB, DB/400, zOS), Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or flat file databases. Analyst notes, profile results, and data types/precision/scale/nullability will all be set accurately for the database being analyzed--and the information will be viewable directly within DataStage stages by the developer loading the Table Definition.

"AMB-InfoPublish profiling and publishing into DataStage is a big technological step forward. It allows users to independently profile new sources of information and drop it into DataStage projects when needed. ETL developers will have profiling information right in each stage. It's a great collaborative tool," says AMB President Steven Meister.

AMB provides data profiling, cleansing, and quality along with CDI and MDM discovery capabilities to large and small organizations, and AMB's pricing structure allows for important profiling and quality capabilities to now be affordable for business managers, without requiring approval for large capital expenditures or investing early in large-scale tool suites. Additionally, AMB-InfoPublish support integrates with both IBM DataStage and Microsoft SSIS ETL.

About AMB-PDM New Generation Data Empowerment

AMB Predictive Data Management (www.predictivedatamanagement.com) provides organizations a complete suite of tools to identify and remediate data anomalies. Through the delivery of the core PDM engine, SOA-enabled through the InfoExpose client toolkit, AMB allows technical and non-technical personnel of organizations to compare profiling results to a baseline, identify changes against the baseline to identify anomalies, drill to source data to quickly identify and plan source remediation opportunities, and report through Excel and other desktop tools organizations are already familiar with, sourcing data from our open repository. Unique to the industry is AMB's ability to find anomalies in both textual and numeric data, thereby being the only complete suite in the marketplace to address the data quality opportunities organizations must address.

AMB also delivers a profiling suite fully embedded and functional with the Microsoft SSIS data integration engine, allowing data anomalies to be identified and their remediation logic codified directly without leaving SSIS. AMB provides unparalleled integration with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008.
