United Computer Group, Inc. (UCG), an information technology services firm, is pleased to announce the launch of VAULT400 Reports, a web-enabled interface for centralized reporting containing details of their clients' cloud protected data. This valuable reporting tool is available via a web portal 365/7/24 and will be emailed automatically each quarter at no additional charge to their UCG VAULT400 subscribers.

How will clients receive their reports?

UCG will send out a USPS mailing the week of July 22, 2013, which will include three informational reports. Once clients receive and acknowledge the mailing, they will receive their user ID, password, and detailed instructions. The VAULT400 Reports application and client data have already been loaded dating back to January 1, 2012.

What data do these reports include?

Report details include:

Backup status: Are my backups occurring when they need to?

Storage details: How much storage are backup sessions adding?

Storage totals: How much storage is used by my backups?

Environment information: What platforms and VAULT400 Agent versions are being utilized?

Backup and restore summary: Are backups and restores succeeding?

Backup details: When and how much data was backed up?

Activity details: How often are backups or restores occurring?

What type of reports will clients receive and how will they help them?

Based on requests and feedback from clients, UCG has chosen three reports to provide VAULT400 clients with the most comprehensive information available:

REPORT #1: BACKUP STATUS - lists successful, failed or missed backups for the last 24 hours, 3 and 7 days. It provides a simple, single-glance view of the overall health of the backup solution.

REPORT #2 - GROUPED STORAGE DETAILS - provides a breakdown of storage information for each Job, and then groups them by computer, customer and vault.

REPORT #3 - STORAGE TOTALS - reports information on total storage that can be obtained for a specific date range in order to see the storage fluctuation over time. To make the information easier to digest, a graph is included.

In April of this year, United Computer Group announced the launch of the IBM i Solution Edition for VAULT400, providing fast deployment, rapid recovery, ease of use and cost savings. The IBM i Solution Edition is available as an offering when a client selects both new hardware and software or services from United Computer Group, Inc.

The IBM i Solution Edition for VAULT400 is available for both the IBM Power7+ 720 Express and IBM Power7+ 740 Express. Both Power Systems feature the latest IBM processors, which represent a true leap forward to more intelligent systems that reduce complexity, decrease energy consumption, minimize downtime and drive down operational costs.

Now, with the addition of VAULT400 Reports, UCG continues to develop and optimize their VAULT400 cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions, enhance user experience, and meet the needs and business goals of their clients.

United Computer Group, Inc. (UCG) is a mid-market technology services firm that was formed in 1987 and has served over 750 clients. VAULT400 is a licensed solution of UCG.
