Help/Systems, developer of the web-based enterprise job scheduler, Skybot Scheduler, announces the release of Skybot Scheduler version 3.5, which includes integration with Informatica Cloud, the industry’s most comprehensive cloud integration platform as a service (iPaaS). This integration gives users the versatility to work with both Informatica Cloud and PowerCenter, a widely used extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tool for building enterprise data warehouses.

In 2013, Skybot Scheduler created an interface that allows users to integrate PowerCenter workflows across the entire enterprise for efficient workload automation. The interface was awarded the Informatica Seal of Approval after passing rigorous lifecycle testing and validation procedures. Skybot makes integrated ETL scheduling within Informatica easier, faster, and broader reaching. Staff intervention can be virtually eliminated—automation, visibility, and control over crossed systems saves time and reduces the risk of error.

With this new release, Informatica users can quickly deploy and automate necessary tasks with minimal effort. Skybot 3.5’s advanced scheduling functions (including reactivity to prerequisites) embeds Informatica Cloud tasks into complex job streams, and incorporates business processes occurring outside of Informatica Cloud. Skybot can use Informatica Cloud web services to kick off workflows, and integrate disparate applications and platforms. The 3.5 release can also execute web services as commands in a Skybot job, and create jobs that send web service requests from a Skybot Scheduler agent.

Additional new features delivered in Skybot 3.5 include:

  • Load balancing: Distribute jobs across a group, allowing users to optimize resource use and maximize throughput—avoiding overload of any one of the agents.

  • Dashboard drilldown: Users have the ability to drilldown on all data, and are able to customize the size and order of graphs to meet their unique needs.
