It contains the functional equivalent of the capabilities provided in previous releases of IBM Sametime to IBM Notes and Domino V9.0.1 customers and includes support for the following capabilities embedded in the IBM Notes rich desktop client, in IBM iNotes for web client access, or via the Sametime Connect client:
- Online presence status; availability status icons; custom status message
- Business card display
- Primary, frequent and recent contact list views
- Initiate chats with users not in your contact list
- Security-rich one-on-one text chat and multiway text chat
- Rich text formatting, spell check, emoticons, and emoticon palettes
- Time and date stamps, chat history
- IBM Sametime Connect client
- Built-in integration with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint
To help promote higher return on investment and increased user productivity, you may also choose to incorporate presence awareness and instant messaging into your custom Notes-based applications developed with IBM Domino Designer software.
The limited entitlement to IBM Sametime Limited Use software restricts its use to only select integrated instant messaging and presence awareness functions, and only within the context of IBM Notes and Domino software.
