ACOM Solutions, Inc. today announced its second quarter schedule of webinars, focusing on the efficiencies and cost advantages to be gained when accounts payable (AP) departments transition from paper check payments to blended solutions that enable both printed check and electronic payments.

The new webinar series was announced by Sam Mikhail, ACOM vice president of sales, and it addresses AP operations around vendor payments, best practices to mitigate fraud, and simple easy-to-implement solutions that can save AP departments’ time and money.

“Everyone is looking for ways to be more efficient and to reduce overall operating expenses, and Accounts Payable departments are no exceptions,” Mikhail said. “Cutting down on paper in every step throughout the payment process makes an inverse contribution through operational savings, reduced transaction costs, and advantages of discount opportunities. Second, with payment fraud as a continuing problem, advanced security provisions reduce the risk at the point payments originate. Finally, by automating payment processes, AP departments not only launch their own efficiency solutions but also contribute to broader initiatives affecting the entire corporate back office.”

Following are dates of the upcoming ACOM webinars:

  • April 29: Easy to Implement Solutions to Help AP Departments Contribute to the Bottom Line In this educational webinar, we will explore easy-to-deploy solutions that can yield significant savings in any AP scenario, regardless of its size or the number of transactions it processes from distribution of purchase orders to the filing and archiving of the AP check along with the supporting documents.
  • May 27: How to Fight Payment Fraud Where It Starts Annual check fraud loss estimates range as high as $16 billion annually. This educational webinar highlights best practices that companies can use to mitigate their exposure.
  • June 24: Automate Your Payables; Simplify Your Life This free 25-minute educational webinar demonstrates how companies reduce per-payment costs with a blended check/epayment environment and versatile remittance advice options.
“These webinars are offered at no charge and they are intended to provide an education regarding the real challenges and opportunities that exist today within most AP departments,” Mikhail said. “The goal here is to help attendees walk away with a clear perspective on these challenges and best ways to face them.” Persons wishing to sign up for one or more of the webinars can do so by visiting: http://www.acom.com/accounts_payable/promo/AP_webinars.html
