Current customers can download the new release by logging onto the Customer Center on Global's website or by requesting a CD. As its flagship Spreadsheet Server tool continues its presence as the de facto standard for spreadsheet automation in the JD Edwards user community, the company says it is not content to rest on its laurels. "We are proud to release V11R2, as this version demonstrates yet another example of how our research and development team remains dedicated and committed to our tradition of providing superior software through our precise and scrupulous enhancement process," the company said in a statement.
The launch of this much anticipated release of Spreadsheet Server for use with JD Edwards V11R2 includes the following updates, among a host of other enhancements:
- The new GXE formula parameter, Convert to Excel 2007 Table, will expand journal entry details to a table
- The drill down Export to Excel function has been enhanced to allow exporting selected data to a range or table
- The Load Local process has been enhanced enabling the scheduling of two or more loads for different host configurations at the same scheduled time
