When I read this tip, I started to wonder if it could be used to compare QSYS files also. CMPPFM (PDM option 54) works ok for source files but it is pretty useless for data files. My UNIX is very limited but I guess that diff must be combined with dd to convert the QSYS files to ASCII. There also seems to be a problem with end-of-file characters. Can anyone come up with an example? Jørn
