A: Yes, there is a quite simple way of accomplishing this task. Here are the steps:
Bring up the Client Access Properties program. This is normally accessed by clicking on Start->Programs->IBM AS400 Client Access Express->Client Access Properties. You may also be able to access it by entering CA400CPL.CPL at the Start/Run box.
This will bring up a window with many tabs. The one you want is labeled Passwords. The top box is labeled Password Expire Warning. There is a checkbox labeled Warn User Before AS/400 Password Expires.
Uncheck this box, and your users will not be warned by CAE that their passwords are close to expiring.
Note that you also have the ability to change your AS/400 password on this screen. This is an important issue for users on the Windows NT operating system variants because they are not given the Password Control Panel applet the Windows 95 and 98 users are.
