VeriFone has released RiTA Server 3.0.4, an upgrade to its scalable, platform-independent payment processing middleware, and also an update to its debit module for Microsoft Retail Management System (RMS).

RiTA Server 3.0.4 provides new processor functionality such as Canadian (Interac) debit acceptance via Chase Paymentech (Tampa). The addition opens new doors of business for merchants looking to expand their operations in Canada. 3.0.4 also provides an additional processor option for Level III transaction support via Fifth Third Bank (Cincinnati). RiTA Server is Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) validated.

VeriFone has also released V2.2 update to RMS Debit, the debit module for RMS in its PC-based payment software, PCCharge. The latest version of RMS Debit has a number of new features including acceptance of Canadian (Interac) debit payments via VeriFone's SC5000 PIN pad and processor through Chase. VeriFone's RMS Debit module for PCCharge provides added value to RMS merchants by fulfilling their need for a flexible debit processing solution, the company says. Acting as a bridge, the RMS Debit Module allows RMS to perform debit transactions directly through PCCharge to a number of major processors.

Both upgrades are available to new and existing customers via VeriFone's authorized resellers. For more information, visit http://www.ritaserver.com or http://www.pccharge.com.
