The PTF application process may produce save files on disk, depending on how you acquire the PTFs. After the PTFs are loaded, there is no need to keep these save files. The Operation Assistant automatically cleans PTF save files from previous releases. However, you may be able to free up additional disk space by manually deleting PTF save files for your current release.
The Delete Program Temporary Fix (DLTPTF) command can be used to delete PTF save files, their assoctiated cover letters, and the records of PTFs that have been ordered. The syntax for the command is this:
DLTPTF PTF(ptf_number) + LICPGM(program_number)
One way to access these save files is to use the following command:
WRKF FILE(QGPL/Q*) FILEATR(SAVF)
Use option 4 to delete the files you no longer need. The PTF names follow the convention of Qaannnnn where aannnnn is the PTF designation-e.g., SF04718.
